Key Stage 3

Our bespoke key stage 3 curriculum supports the development of literacy and numeracy skills. There is a focus on key competencies, which will skill students for success as they progress through the Academy. We are raising student aspirations, increasing performance, improving achievement, developing self-knowledge and self-belief. We encourage in-depth learning, computer literacy and students taking responsibility for their learning. 

Key Stage 4

A variety of learningpathways are available to our students. We offer a “Pathways Curriculum,” which is designed to meet the needs of all learners. There is a traditional pathway of GCSEs including the English Baccalaureate (EBACC) along with other routes comprising a combination of GCSE and Vocational Courses. We offer a carefully structured careers programme, ensuring all students are well informed about pathway choices and how this progresses to future employment and training.  We have developed strong links with local and regional organisations and educational institutions. Barnfield College, recently rated as “Outstanding” by Ofsted, offers a wealth of courses open to our students. We are also able to offer places at the Barnfield Studio School for those students who have an entrepreneurial spirit and an interest in business.
